Omg!! I never thought I would have a thing for a biker, but I totally fell for Kane "Tack" Allen. I even loved Tyra's character. Tyra is sexy, hot tempered, and willing to stand up for herself. This book is definitely a re-read for me. The chemistry between these two is phenomenal!! 

Tyra wakes up with the man of her dreams. She just had the best night ever and the best sex. And she kinda of just had sex with her boss. She told him that didn't she??.....yeah, Tyra wouldn't have sex with her boss without telling him she is his new office manager, right? Well she will figure that out later. 

When Tack crawls out of bed to head to the bathroom Tyra doesn't expect him to ask her to leave. Of all the nerve. How can he ask her to leave after that unbelievable night they just had. But Tyra finds herself doing the walk of shame. 

Tyra doesn't want to start her job in the morning, but she needs the money. Even though her best friend tries to talk her out of it. But once Tack sees her in the morning she begins to rethink her decision.

So I've been a little behind on my reviews. Sorry guys. So I'm gonna be posting a lot of reviews at once. (At least that's the plan, lol!!)

Jill Shalvis did it again with this series. I absolutely love her books!! I checked this book out via my library through audiobook and fell in love with Brody and Lilah. 

Lilah Young runs the only kennel in Sunshine, Idaho. Lilah finds her hands a little full while driving with a duck, pot bellied, pig, and some puppies when she rear ends the truck in front of her. Of all the luck she hits the sexy, gorgeous, Alpha male Brody Millers truck.

Brody Miller is in town to visit with his foster brothers Adam and Dell and he isn't a guy who stays in one place too long. One thing he doesn't expect, is Lilah Young. After she hits his truck her jeep doesn't seem to start, so he gives her a ride. They even share a kiss. But the thing they don't know is Brody is the foster brother to Lilahs best friends Adam and Dell. 

I found that I really liked this book!! Who doesn't like an Alpha-male romance, right? Plus the cover is totally hot!! Who doesn't like a guy who loves animals?

I would give this book a 4.5 stars out of 5.

Just The Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James

I previously read Something About You by Julie James and came across this audiobook at the library and decided to give it a try. I must say I was rather pleased with this book. I couldn't seem to put the Ipod down.

Taylor Donovan is assigned to work on a case in California by her law firm. While she is there she doesn't expect to be appointed to coach Jason Andrews aka "the sexiest man alive" while she is there. She just doesn't want to do this. She doesn't have the time or energy to coach a Hollywood stereotypical man like Andrews. However, she finds she has no choice but to do just that. So when he is a no show after she waited all weekend on the infuriating man, she finds herself hating the man onsite.

Jason Andrews is a sexy raving Hollywood star. The men want to be him and the women want him. So when he comes nose to nose with Miss Donovan, he finds he has meant his match. She isn't persuaded by his charm or his status. She down right dislikes him and he finds her as a challenge. Jason is one man who is use to getting what he wants, no matter the cost. And soon Jason finds himself chasing after the sexy, somewhat uptight lawyer Miss Donovan.

Something About You by Julie James

Something About You by Julie James is the first book in the FBI/US Attorney series. This just happened to be the first book I got to read by Julie James. And let me say, I was majorly impressed!! I fell in love with Cameron Lynde and Jack Pallas. I can't wait to read book #2 in this series.

Assistant attorney Cameron Lynde could have  picked any hotel in Chicago, but no she finds herself next to room 1308. She's beyond exhausted and can't sleep. What's keeping her awake at such late hours? The hot, steamy, monkey sex next door. That's what. So finally she gets fed up with the noise coming through the extremely paper thin walls and calls the front desk to report the noise disturbance.

Cameron finds herself as the key witness to a death. This is not what she expected. Seriously out of all the hotels in the city and she picked this one. It Had To Be You by Jill Shalvis

So a few weeks ago I stumbled across a Jill Shalvis book at the library. So I decided to check out It Had To Be You by Jill Shalvison audiobook. Now I have another awesome author to add to my list of favorites. Even though I started the series at book number 7 I didn't feel like I was lost during the book. Which sometimes happens when I pick a book up during a series. 

Let's just say if your looking for a good romance with a little excitement then this book is for you.

Ali Winters finds out just how quickly a day can change. In less then one day she is dumped by her boyfriend, homeless, being accused of theft and the possible doom of being unemployed is lingering by a thread. But she is determined to work her hardest at the flower shop while she still has a job.

No Limits by Lori Foster

Lori Foster is one of my favorite authors. Anytime I can get my hands on one of her books, I do. I just love her writing!! I love the Alpha, hot, sexy men in her stories. And you'll even fall in the with the women, their just that awesome!! 

 No Limits is her first book in the Ultimate Series but be sure to check out Hard Knocks which is a prequel to No Limits. Let me start off first by saying the cover is way to HOTT!! Yes, I'm one of those people who judge a book by the cover and I have yet to be disappointed by judging Fosters books by their cover. 

No Limits features Cannon and Yvette. (Check out Getting Rowdy to meet Cannon and Dash of Peril to meet the lovely Yvette).  On a side note be prepared to fall in love with Armie!! I personally can't wait for that story!! 

Yvette is back in Ohio after her grandfathers death. She still can't believe her grandfather left Cannon half of his estate. She hasn't seen or heard from Cannon for three years. So Yvette hopes to sort things out with Cannon hoping to persuade him to sell so she can get back on with her life. But as much as Yvette has tried she can't get Cannon out of her mind, she's never stopped thinking about him or loving him. She wanted him three years ago and she still wants him. But she doesn't see how she's going to get over her one little problem and let Cannon close enough to help. 

Cannon sits stunned in the attorney's office. Recently back from Japan after a fight he sits stunned. He can't  figure out why Tipton left him anything and half of his possessions and estate. Why didn't he give it all to Yvette? The reality of this situation hits Cannon after reading a note Tipton left behind for Cannon explaining it all. Now he can't get Yvette off his mind after reading the letter. Not that he's been able to do that in the last three years. But Yvette was the one to walk away three years ago. But this time Cannon is determined to keep her from running away. 

It's been a long three years but when Yvette tracks Cannon down at Rowdys nothing could prepare her for Cannons reaction to her.

I received a free advanced copy of Snow Angel Cove by RaeAnne Thayne for my honest review of the book.

So let's start off by saying I would give this book 5 stars!! I fell in love with Eliza, Aidan, and little Maddie. This is the second novel I've read by Thayne and I just love her sense of writing. Her stories seem real. It gives us a hint of everyday life. It's not a story where everything in life is picture perfect, but with flaws. Her stories are things we can relate to. I know I already said it but I love her writing!!

Eliza Hayward watches her new beginning going up in smokes. So she's moved to a new town with her daughter to start a new job as assistant manager for a hotel only to see the hotel up in smokes. And that's not even the worst part of Eliza's day. She almost gets plowed down by a car. Could this day get any worse?

Aidan Caine needs solitude. He's keeping a major secret from his family and feels he can work his way through it. After all he's a successful tech genius. So on his way to his recently purchased home in Haven Point where his family is all coming together for Christmas he finds himself unable to stop his SUV as he sees a woman and small child walking across the road. 

Eliza awakens to a handsome man leaning over her and before she even knows it she's in the emergency room. Eliza is suddenly aware she has no place to go with her daughter so when the handsome Aidan enters her room and offers a place to stay she but all can refuse. She can't drive in the storm and there is no other place in town to stay. So she tells herself she's doing it for her daughter. 

What Eliza doesn't expect is a job offer from the man that contributed to her husbands death, in her opinion. And can Aidan let a little girl with her own health issues into his heart? And can he let Eliza into his heart? 

Hard Knocks by Lori Foster

Hard Knocks by Lori Foster (Ultimate #0.5)

Hard Knocks is the prequel novel to Lori Fosters new MMA series. I would give this a 4 out of 5 stars. My only complaint about the book is Gage and Harpers story was way to short. But the book allows us to get acquainted with a few of the characters we will encounter later in the series. And lets just say I can't wait to get my hands on the next book No Limits to learn of Cannon's story. And on a side note, one of the best things about the book is its cover. The cover is way HOT!!!

Cannon is a character that we met in the book Getting Rowdy. He takes great pride in keeping his neighborhood safe. Cannon is training to become a SBC fighter who wants to open a rec center.So Cannons friends help him out in opening up a rec center for all the local kids and it gives him a place to train. So before reading this check out Getting Rowdy and Dash of Peril to get to know Cannon a little better before you read No Limits. 

Anyway back to Hard Knocks. Gage is brooding because he's out of the fight. Hes home from Japan licking his wounds. One mistake and he's out of the fight. So now he is here to watch a fight with all his friends at the rec center. So when he sees Harper Gates flaunting her stuff he decides to take his frustration out on her. But the one thing Gage doesn't expect is for Harper to turn the tables on him and become so compliant. 

Harper felt betrayed by Gage leaving her. She wasn't mad by the fact that he left her to go to Japan, she was mad because he left her without  ever calling her. They had a relationship and they were working towards something more, but then he leaves never calling. She knows the game with the guys at the rec center and she supports them. Most of the guys fighting is their life, its part of them. But when Harper feels Gage watching her she decides she can't let him get away again.

I recently checked out this audiobook from my local library, and lets say this book passed the time for me. If I would have checked this book out as an ebook, I think I would've ditched the book right away. But I gave the audiobook a chance. And overall I would only rate this book at 3 out of 5 stars and that's really pushing it.

Mandy finds herself bidding on her boss's handsome nephew at a bachelor auction. The winner gets a date of the bachelors choice to any destination of his choosing. However, Mandy doesn't think she will be going anywhere with Damon. But that notion is short lived when her boss forces her onto a plane to The Great Barrier Reef.

Mandy doesn't have a strong stomach for planes or the sea that she once loved so much. So when Damon forces her onto a small engine plane she begins to panic. Damon can't figure out what her problem is. The only thing he wants is for her to go back home, away from him so he doesnt have to fight his attraction to her anymore.

Damon begins to realize Mandy truly has a fear of the sea. But she loves it so much that he wants to uncover why she is so terrified. Damon and Mandy find themselves in a battle fighting their chemistry and passion for one another. All the while Damon begins helping her to fight her fear of the sea. He wants Mandy to be happy while she gets back the one thing she loves the most, the love for the sea.

Dash of Peril by Lori Foster

Well another great book by Lori Foster in her Love Undercover Series. Ilove Fosters books!! I can't seem to put the books down once I start reading. Literally nothing gets done but hey everything will still be there when I'm done. 

So Dash of Peril by Lori Foster is amazingly sexy. Dash Riske is intrigued by the ball buster lieutenant Margaret Petersen. Dash finds her hot and sexy and her authoritative way even sexier. But there's only one small problem. Margo avoids Dash and his advances to hookup. For heavens sake Dash is the brother to one of her best officers, Logan  Riske.  Margo can't let herself become close to Dash because she can't have others talking about her. She doesn't do relationships. It's not her style.  However, Margo finds herself being targeted and Dash gets involved and she can't seem to fight Dash off any longer. 

This book is awesome!! It's hot, sexy, and the dominance will leave you wanting more!!

Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson

Rachel Gibson is one of my favorite authors. I found her when I first checked out the audiobook Rescue Me, which I'd advise you to do the same. It's one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to. And if you love a good romance with some behind the closed door scenes then you won't want to miss this book. But anyway onto my review of Truly Madly Yours. 

This book was another good one by Gibson. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Delaney finds herself back in Idaho for her adoptive fathers funeral and will reading. She has been away from Idaho for the last ten years since the most humiliating thing happened to her. While attending her adoptive father, Henry's, funeral bad boy Nick rides in on his motorcycle making Delaney relive the embarrassing night all over again with just one look at Nick. Nick is Henrys biological son whom he never acknowledge as his son and the boy who was warned to stay away from Delaney when she was caught in such an awkward position by Henry ten years ago. 

 Nick doesn't know why he's compelled to go to his fathers funeral, but he finds himself standing at the graveside. It's not until he sees Delaney that he wishes she would've never came back. So he leaves with a cute blonde on the back of his bike and he's out of there. And he doesn't see Delaney again until the reading of the will. 

Nick and Delaney are shocked to find out the terms of Henry's will. Delaney inherits three million dollars if she moves back to Idaho and lives there for one year. But the only thing Delaney wants is to get out of Idaho as fast as she came. If she moves the money becomes Nicks. Nick inherits some prime property with the stipulation that he and Delaney can't have a sexual relationship or Delaney inherits the property. So will these two be able to keep their hands off each other for a year? And will Delaney be able to stay in Idaho for that long? 

Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich

So recently I stumbled across the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I was looking for an audiobook I could listen to while I do housework. And my local library had book number twelve available so I gave it a shot. 

Stephanie Plum is a Trenton, NJ bounty hunter. She's not very good at her job but she has Ranger when she needs help with tricky captures. Ranger is one of the two men Plum has in her life, with Joe Morelli being her on and off again boyfriend. She just can't seem to admit to one of the guys, what can she say, she has a little bit of a commitment issue. 

Stephanie finds herself being followed by a woman  named Carmen who is all dressed in black saying she is Rangers wife. Then the weird thing happens, Stephanie finds out Ranger has a daughter who was kidnapped supposedly by Ranger. Things just don't make sense. So Stephanie soon finds herself hunting for a killer, rescuing a child, and trying to keep the body count down. 

You'll find this book has a crazy grandma Mazur who has decided to become a rock star. And she's still obsessed with funerals. While back at the bond agency she gets the luxury of interviewing crazy potentional bounty hunters. 

Overall, I would give this a 3 out of 5 stars. It was entertaining and at times I found myself laughing at different scenes throughout the book.

 Dare to love with the first book by Carly Phillips that I have read and let me say I was not disappointed!! Amazon recently gave this e-book away for free so I thought what the heck I'm gonna check it out and let me tell you I was not disappointed at all with this book. You will fall in love with this book  and the characters. The chemistry is sizzling "HOT" and the passion will leave you a little breathless. 

Ian Dare finds himself at a party at his fathers house and not liking the idea of being there one bit. Ian doesn't have the best relationship with his father. But finding out your father has another family when your seventeen and your father choosing them over you, probably would make any relationship rocky. 

So nothing disappoints Ian more then seeing his half brother walk in with a smoking, hot woman on his arm wearing a killer red dress. 

Riley Taylor feels the chemistry between her and Ian right away. But she knows she can't do anything about it since she's her with her best friend, Alex Dare aka Ian's half brother. However, that doesn't stop Riley from wanting Ian any less. So when Riley finds herself outside making out with Ian she can't get reality to kick in until Alex finds them. And Ian and Riley can't stop thinking about the totally explosive kiss they shared. And before long Riley finds herself in a situation without a job and working for Ian. But how long will they be able to fight their attraction to one another........

I LOVE this book!! I had a very hard time putting this one down.

Claire Chastains first thought is Ben just had some hot sex the night before. He's still dressed in a tuxedo and he has sex emanating from him. But she has something of extreme importance to tell Ben. 

The last thing Ben ever expected was for Claire to tell him he has a son named Sam. But he hadn't expected her to tell him Sams mother is dead and Sam has been kidnapped. 

So Ben finds himself tangled up with the sexy Claire Chastain in a search to find his son he never known existed. All awhile Ben fights his growing attraction to Claire. Mixing business and pleasure is never a good idea. But will Claire and Ben be able to find their growing attraction as the search for Sam continues.........

Until We Touch by Susan Mallery is book 15 of her Fools Gold series. This book features Jack and Larissa. Jack is an ex football player and Larissa is Jacks assistant and massage therapist at Score. 

Beware!! Once you pick up this book you will not be able to put it down, especially at Chapter 12!! Well at least the was the problem I had. I absolutely fell in love with these two characters.

Jack is everything a woman wants in a man but he doesn't give his heart. After his twin brother died and his parents left him he couldn't bear to give someone else his love to have them leave him again. So he keeps everyone at a distance, not letting them into deep in his heart.  There are only few people Jack is willing to include in his life and that's his Score family. 

Larissa is one of Jacks closests friends and his assistant/massage therapist. But after Larissa's mom tells Jack to fire her so she can fall in love with someone else Jack begins to look at Larissa in a whole new light. Larissa and Jack find themselves discovering their feelings for one another. All awhile Larissa is still out to save the world with a homeless teen, chow weenies, and anything she can save. 

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Susan Mallery is one talented author!!

Before We Kiss is Susan Mallery's 14th book in the series Fools Gold. If you haven't read any of these books it's a must!! 

Sam is an ex football player who hooks up with Delina on Valentines. But Sam doesn't have the best luck with women so when he stumbles into a room full of wedding dresses he runs out of Delinas and chalks it up to another bad experience. So for months Sam has tried to avoid Delina in the small town, however when he needs a party planner to plan a party for Score he doesn't have any other choice then to call on Delina for help.

Along Came A Duke by Elizabeth Boyle

Along Came A Duke is a historical romance written by Elizabeth Boyle. This was my first book by Doyle that I've read. Well actually I listened to the audiobook which I downloaded to my IPod. 

This book is a good, old fashioned romance. This was a book I was able to leave for a few days and come back to. The urge to read the hook straight through just wasn't there with this book. And to be honest it kinda of moved a little slow. I would give this a 3 out of 5 stars. 

Miss Tabitha Timmons must marry a man her deceased uncle has chosen for her to obtain an inheritance. Tabithas aunt and uncle rush her off to meet her future husband in plans of her obtaining the inheritance. However, Miss Timmons meets the acquaintance of Preston and she can't seem to forget him. Suddenly Preston seems to show up everywhere Tabitha is and before long he finds himself  unable to think of another woman but her. 

So when Preston learns of the stipulations in the inheritance he finds he can't let Tabby marry Mr. Barkworth. And before Preston knows it, he's trying to ruin Miss Tabby so Barkworth won't want to marry a woman of scandal.

This is the first book in the series featuring Sam and Ariel. Sam is an undercover cop who finds his brothers ex at the same place he is at. But things go a little astray when Sam finds Ariel jumping in to save Sam. Sam finds himself infatuated with Ariel but hands off because she is younger then him and she is his little brothers ex. However, Ariel seems to have her own agenda when it comes to Sam Watson.

This book features Gil Watson and Anabel Truman. Gil finds out he has fathered a baby girl, but he doesn't learn about his daughter until the mother is gone. So let me say you will fall in love with Fools Gold!! I have fallen in love with the characters as well as the small town of festivals. 

Angel Whitaker is a bodyguard trainer working in the small town of Fools Gold when he sets his sights on Taryn Crawford. Taryn is one sexy woman who knows what she wants and doesn't take crap from anyone. But how else could she work with ex-football players at Score the PR firm with an ex in the mix? 

Taryn is use to hanging out with guys. But when Angel gives her an offer she can't seem to resist. And before the two know what hit them they find themselves being just what the other needs.  

I hope you love this book as much as I did!! I can't wait to get my hands on book #14!!

Do or Die by Suzanne Brockmann

Do or Die is the first book of Reluctent Heros by Suzanne Brockmann. I just finished listening to the audiobook that I acquired through my local library. And I would give this book a 4 out 5 stars. It was action packed, romance, and overall had a good storyline. My only surprise to the book was Shelb turned out to be a guy. And let me say I just thought of girl with that name but no big deal. 

Ian Dunn is busted from his prison sentence before his time is served by the FBI. The FBI wants Ian to help them find two kidnapped children and return them to their mother. But the only problem is Ian doesn't want out early. But before he knows it he has a new attorney, Phoebe, and he's out of prison now. He must protect his brother and his family because he's being chased by the people who put him in prison. Except Phoebe finds herself mixed up with Ian and now Ian must make the things right before someone gets hurt. 

Close to Home by Lisa Jackson

I recently received an advanced copy of the book Cloe to Home by Lisa Jackson through All You book reviewers. And I must say I was very disappointed with this book. It left me so confused. I couldn't keep up with the characters and honestly, I had a hard time staying awake. I would only give this book a 3 out of 5 stars at best. Throughout the story I kept thinking Clint and Sarah would have a heated romance, but that didn't happen. And the story plot would change from character to the next without a lot of warning. So in my opinion I wouldn't rush to read this book. It's just to hard to stay with the story.

Ashley Montgomery finds herself kidnapped by Somelai pirates. As the daughter of a wealthy, well-known politician, Ashley is being held for ransom. Brody Baxter, the ex-bodyguard to the family over ten years ago finds himself happy to get Ashley and return her to safety. Brody finds Ashley beaten and bruised and unconscious when he rescues her. The only thing Brody wants is to get Ashley out of there and back home ASAP. 

But upon returning home Ashley finds she can't take her mother and wants to leave and get out of the public eye. Brody finds himself sticking around longer as he takes Ashley to his home town of Bishop, Arkansas.

Ashley finds that Brody also needs healing. And that attraction she felt over ten years ago for him has never left. 

I really enjoyed this book. It's the second book novel in O'Keefe's boys of Bishop. I would give this book a 3 1/2 stars out of 5. There were hot, sensual parts in this book where I found I couldn't put the book down. Once you check out this book be sure to check out the third book of the series Between the Sheets. 

Review: The Wedding Hazard by Regina Duke

Ashely finds herself knocking on her estranged mother of fifteen years to inform her of her fathers recent death. But when ashley finds a red spot in the kitchen and a note for mother she finds herself looking for help. Ashley finds herself walking into Thor Security and seeing the most gorgeous man she has ever seen. 

Thor Garrison finds himself looking at the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. It takes his breath away. And before Thor knows it he is acting as a bodyguard to Ashley. And meanwhile authors mother Polly is trying to get him to get married and give him grand babies, while a crazy ex-girlfriend has her sights set on Thor. 

Ashley has no way to pay Thor so she offers an olive branch to help Thor out of his tricky situation with his mother and her persistence on getting married. Ashley texts Thors mother informing her he has a fiancé so Britney Beth can leave him alone. But before Thor and Ashley know it they are dealing with a crazy ex, a mother, some crazy person following Ashley, and the disappearance of her mother. 

I would rate this book a 3 out 5. Overall it was a good read. But parts were a little dry. I guess I expected there to be more of a connection between Ashley and Thor. But if your looking for a steamy romance this isn't it.

Nobody's Baby But Mine: Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Susan Elizabeth Phillips never leaves me disappointed. This is the fifth book of hers that I have read. Nobody's Baby But Mine is a really good romance novel that you won't be disappointed in. 

Jane Darlington finds herself alone and without anyone in her life on her 34th birthday. The only thing Jane wants is a baby of her own and not a gift certificate to the Jiffy Lube. So when her neighbor presents her with the opportunity to hook up with the famous Cal Bonner-quarterback she finds herself doing something she never thought she would do. Jane finds herself dressed like a high classy prostiitue with a bow around her neck being Cals birthday present from his friends.       

Cals friends want him to loosen up. So they hope Jane will do the trick, but the only thing Jane wants is a baby. And Jane doesn't want someone smart as the dad because all her life she was a freak. And Jane assumes Cal Bonner is that man. 

Janes little plan with Cal doesn't go as plan. cal finds himself outraged once he finds out what little Miss Jane Darlington did to him. So they find themselves married and he takes her to his hometown Salvation where he informs her that once the child is born he demands a divorce. Cal works hard to keep Jane from his family because he doesn't want them attached. But as with everything, Jane seems to defy everything. Starting with Annie, Cals grandmother. 

If your looking for a good read, this is it. Susan Elizabeth Phillips won't leave you disappointed. I would give this a 5 out 5 stars. Worth the read!! 

Between the Sheets: Molly O'Keefe

Molly O'Keefe has an upcoming romance novel release "Between the Sheets" set for publication on July 29, 2014. I had the honor to read the Random House publishing novel the rough netgalley.com. And let me tell you, you will love this book!! I never read a Molly O'Keefe book before so I wasn't sure what to expect. But overall I give this a 5 out of 5 stars. I couldn't put the book down. Very hot, sexy, steamy love scenes on this book!! It's a must read. And I can't wait to try other books by Molly O'Keefe. 

Shelby is an art teacher who is caring for her mother who has Alzeheimers. And her past experiences with her father keeps her from getting close to anyone and forming relationships. Everyone sees her as the good girl. But Shelby isn't that person they believe her to be. But before Shelby knows it her and her sexy, motorcycle revving neighbor are getting it on in the art barn. Ty went to Shelby for help with his son Casey but before he knows it there's a glass of bourbon and Shelby is wanting him to get lost inside her. Shelby and Ty find themselves realizing they may just be what the other one needs. Before they know it they are using each other to release their built up stress. And Ty finds himself wanting to be more then someone to sleep with. But Shelby struggles with letting someone in, all the way in. So now you must read to find out, will Shelby let her past go and take a chance on Ty?

Mary Balogh: More Then A Mistress

More Then A Mistress was a book I decided tocheck out through my local library to read while working on my summer tan. I would rate this a 3 out of 5. The beginning was kind of dry and I had a hard time finishing the book. Lady Sara Illingsworth finds herself hiding as Jane Ingleby. As she is heading to work she comes across a duel at Hydes Park and tries to put an end to what is going down. And the next thing Jocelyn knows he is shot in the leg with the woman he blames for the injury as his nurse. So Jane finds herself being Jocelyn's nurse for the next three weeks but then she is propositioned to become his mistress. So should she take the risk and become his mistress? He will give her a place to stay and pay her, so she won't have to find a new job. But one thing that Jocelyn doesn't expect is to find himself bearing his heart and soul to a mistress. 

Holiday hats for babies

I recently got to view Holiday Hats For Babies through netgalley.com for my honest review of the book. ( not yet released publication date is Sept. 2, 2014) And I must say being a mom who has children, but never crocheted before this book was a little frightening at first. And I say this because I was unaware of what many of the abbreviations even meant. But at the end of the book I found all of the abbreviations nicely spelled out. And many of the hats were so adorable. I absolutely loved the little witches hat for Halloween!! (If only I had a little girl) So after reviewing this book I've become more interested in learning the art of crocheting but maybe with something a little more simple first. 

One Heart To Win by Johanna Lindsey

One heart to win was a book I recently finished reading from my local library. I must say I was very pleased with this book. My only complaint about the book was a lack of steamy love scenes. However, the story engulfed me leaving me unable to put the book down.
Tiffany Warren finds herself leaving the east coast heading to a territory she doesn't remember to marry a man she has never met to end a longtime family feud. Only Tiffany doesn't know all the reasons why her mother fled home fifteen years ago. Tiffany knows before she even leaves her home that she doesn't want to marry Hunter Callahan. But when the opportunity arises leaving her to disguise herself as the maid she finds herself living with the Callahans under their roof. However, she doesn't expect too find Hunter so appealing and handsome when she finally meets the unknown fiancé she is being forced to marry to end a feud.

Rachel Gibson: Rescue Me

I borrowed this audiobook from my local library and wasn't sure what to expect from Rachel Gibson. This was the first book that I read of hers and I was very surprised I liked this book very much. 

Rescue me is about Sadie Hollowell who returns home to Lovett, Texas for a family wedding. But on her way home she finds Vince Haven alongside the road with a broken down truck. And Sadie's good manners leaves her giving a stranger she never met a ride into town to his aunts Gas n Go. Sadie goes as far as asking Vince to help her out with a little dilemma she has, but he turns her down. However, things get a little steamy when Vince decides to help Sadie out with her little dilemma anyway. Then Sadie's father has an accident leaving her in Texas longer then she anticipated. And before we know it Sadie finds herself turning to Vince for a shoulder to lean on. 

Let me say in my own personal opinion, you will love this book!! But wait a minute!! This is book number 3 in the Lovett, Texas series. So you may just want to check them out first. 

Lori Foster: Getting Rowdy

Lori Foster has a series called Love Undercover. Getting Rowdy is the Third book of the series. And I must say I couldn't put this book down!! In Bare it All you learn that Rowdy has an attraction to the bartender Avery. And he makes her aware of his feelings. However, once Rowdy becomes the owner of the bar she works at she can no longer hide her attraction from him. This is a summer must read!! You can't but help liking Rowdy. This book is definitely full of passion, steamy romance, and you wouldn't be disappointed with this book. I give Lori Foster a 5 out 5 for this book.

Nora Roberts: Windfall

Nora Roberts book Windfall is a collaboration of Temptation and Impulse. I found this book at a local thrift store and decided to give it a chance. And I must say after reading this book I would give it an overall 3 1/2 stars out of 5.
Impulse is a story about the young Rebecca Malone who finds herself alone in the world after her aunts sudden death. So on impulse she sells all of her possessions and heads to Greece. However, she never expect to find the handsome Stephen Nickodemus. But as she begins to fall in love with him she believes she has deceived him by letting him fall in love with the fun, spontaneous, sophisticated Rebecca and not the boring accountant.
Temptation was a good story. It wasn't one of those stories I couldn't put down. However, this story was about Eden Carlborough who found herself running for her old life after her fathers death. She is dumped by her fiancé and left without much money after her fathers death. So Eden and her best friend Candy co-operate a girls summer camp. However, the one thing Eden doesn't expect to find is herself up a tree and caught by the sexy next door apple orchard owner Chase Elliott.
